The International Bathtub regatta is made up of a mess of buoyant, ahem, well, bathtubs. The bathtubs are made from scratch, decorated and designed by bathtub engineers (anyone can participate and build their own). These fascinating vessels make for an interesting contest to about 20,000 spectators. Sort of like a bathroom excursion. See how it all went down last week on August 15th. Video at break.

Now think about the adrenaline that's gushing around your body while you run from a ton pound beast with knives on it head. Ridiculously satisfying! but when one plays the game one pays the price. Unfortunately in the last chapter of San Fermin's Pamplona’s festival, 4 runners get the horn from the soon-to-be-slaughtered animal in Spain. Though the scars may be better than any local travel trinket you may bring home, but at what price?

A man was gored to death in the fourth encierro at Pamplona’s running of the bulls. Daniel Jimeno Romero, 27, from Alcala de Henares, was gored in the neck and lung as he was trying to get to a protective barrier during the run. Romero was on vacation with his parents and his girlfriend, according to the Associated Press.

But hey what are a few scars and a life anyway...it's all about the adventure, right? yeah...I'll take my chances in the ghetto.

Whatchu talkin' bout Willis?, Chicago

Yes, you've heard right. As of Thursday morning, the world famous Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois has changed its name to Willis Tower [at least that's what the tower's newest main tenant wishes to believe: London, England-based insurance broker Willis Group Holdings].  Sometimes change may be good, but really?

Not everyone is taking to the name change so very lightly.  On Facebook alone, over 90,000 people have joined the group "People Against the Sears Tower Name Change"; 34,000 of which have already signed a petition against the new name.   One blogger on said site even wrote: “I asked a cabdriver to take me to the Willis tower. He said, 'Where the hell is that?’”

On the other hand, I wonder if my daddy’s credit cards could buy me the chance to name the Eiffel Tower after myself… hmm.

Tristan da Cunha's brush with a tattle teller - Mr. Winchester, you should be ashamed!

Hhm, So we're going to have to tell you where it is, but promise us you won't go (psst, and if you do, take pictures!) Tristan da Cunha is a cluster of volcanic islands in the south Atlantic Ocean, 1,750 miles from the nearest land: South Africa. It's also the name of the main island, which is 38 square miles in size. The British officially colonized the islands around the 1800s, and are still there to this day.

The civiliation there is quaint, years behind from what's happening on the mainlands. To give you an example in 2005, the Royal Mail gave them a postcode so they can do some online shopping. So for you techie travelers this wouldn't be a great place to bargain hunt for that new cell phone. The place is slow, quaint and relaxed, just the way they like it.

Another pic at jump, and who is this tattle teller?

Road to Hana - Maui, Hawaii

The world famous Road to Hana is known for its unblemished landscapes and towering waterfall scenery. Unblemished because that's all you'll see when driving through; the Hawaiians have successfully won stopping over development. And because they have kept over development at bay there are driving tips to consider when taking a trip to Hana.

Tip 1. Bug spray! Hana is swarming with mosquitoes. They congregate near the water and rotting fruit or animals. Don't stand so long admiring the river - you'll be sorry if you do.

Tip 2. Keep on paths. If you think on hiking, remain on paths. It's an obvious tip but some people like to go off-roading and that's when the magic happens: spider bites, a hell of alot more mosquitoes bites...and more bites in general...

Ever taken a taxi cab in Mexico City? If you have then you would know these guys means business. It’s like being a passenger to one of the taxi cab missions in GTA Vice City Miami—short from being shot, you are being tossed about in the back like a sack of potatoes. It’s almost as bad as taking a taxi cab in India, but without the heat and tiny accommodations, or even a bus ride in Lesotho.

Written by Senor Frog

Ping pong show is not your ordinary table tennis match…there are no paddles, only a ball and a talented girl. The show paces its drama like a short story: it has its Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, with a manifold of climaxes before reaching the Conclusion. The shows make up a big percentage of Thailand’s sex tourism industry. They can be found in various red-light locations in Bangkok: Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong, Pattaya; and in, Phuket: Patong Beach.

Miami: Style, Attitude and The Man

Just the other day my girlfriend and I took our weekendly walk around our neighborhood of Coconut Grove, and spotted this elegant man standing at a corner. It wasn't his stance that fascinated me; people stand all the time, they stand in lines, line-ups, machine-gun executions and all variations of the kind. But what struck a cord was his sense of style. It shouldn't have resonated this much to me because I should be desensitized from Miami's notoriety of being a style capital of the world. But me think me brain had a hard time putting the obvious triangle shaped wood block into the circular hole - things weren't matching up.

My recourse was to take a picture and examine it for later discussion.
