OAJ will be hosting the first travel writing contest for those who are interested in winning some cash and showcasing your work.
Prizes (I know it's not much but we are working on that)
1st: $125 USD
2nd: $100 USD
3rd: $75 USD
Each story submitted will be published online. Work will remain yours. Stories published elsewhere that do not violate any copyright by posting them on On A Junket's website will be eligible for the contest. Winners will be showcased on home page.
Deadline entry is: May 22, 2009
Winners will be announced: June 22, 2009
Details
- Story must be written by you (it will be checked and double checked for plagiarism)
- Word Count: 1000-2000, no more than 3000 words
- Up to 2 stories may be submitted per person
- Stories already published on On A Junket's site will not be considered
- You may submit a brief description of self and link back to blog/website
We are looking for stories. Not travel guides. For further information on what we are looking for please visit our travel writing guideline page.
If you have photos to accompany piece send them along, stories without photos will have no bearing on contest decision making.
